Tap into youth talent that’s eager to learn and ready to work as a BFY Host Employer this summer

What are your plans to attract and recruit new construction talent? By signing up to take on a Building Futures for Youth (BFY) Student as a Host Employer this summer, your business will be the first step a high school student takes on their career journey.

What should a Host Employer know before taking on a BFY Student? Take it from one of our past Host Employers, Dexter Construction:

“You can get out of it what you invest into it. If you approach the work term with intention, providing clear expectations and responsibilities, having a supportive workplace with good mentors and meaningful, hands-on experiences, it may end up being a mutually beneficial experience where you end up with good quality employees as these students graduate and enter the trades.”

Become a Host Employer this summer. Connect with one of our BFY Program Leads today. For employers in Cape Breton, please contact Tanya Reddick Clayton and for all other regions, please contact Barbara Minard.
