Price: $52 plus HST (meal included, drinks additional)

Topic:  Overcoming Specific Project Challenges

Speakers: Jud Mullen, Construction Manager, and Blaise Morrison, Manager of Development & Planning, The Armour Group

Jud Mullen, GSC, joined The Armour Group as Construction Manager in 2016. Mr. Mullen has over 17 years in the Maritime construction industry as a project manager and estimator working primarily with DORA Construction and PCL Constructors prior to coming to Armour. Mr. Mullen has developed expertise in design-build construction having worked on a variety of commercial projects during his career, shepherding many of them from inception to completion. This skill set has served Mr. Mullen well as Armour’s Construction Manager on the Queen’s Marque Development, where he has worked in tandem with Bird Construction to deliver the project. Mr. Mullen graduated with a Construction Administration Technology diploma from NSCC in 2001.

Blaise Morrison, MCIP, LPP, joined The Armour Group in 2016 as Manager of Development & Planning. Having previously managed the Urban Planning Group for WSP Canada Inc.’s Nova Scotia office, Mr. Morrison brings an expertise focused on managing development applications through the various jurisdictional approval processes. Mr. Morrison’s knowledge of Halifax’s development landscape from policy, by-law and political levels has added a depth to The Armour Group’s team that has helped facilitate the design, development and approvals of some of the Company’s most recent urban projects, including Queen’s Marque and the Halifax Grammar School. Mr. Morrison has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from Queen’s University, and is a Licensed Professional Planner.
