Overview:
This course provides practical, advanced scheduling and project controls techniques to help construction professionals improve project planning, monitoring, and reporting. Participants will learn how to identify and analyze schedule impacts, document delays and change orders, develop effective reporting tools, and standardize project plans for improved communication and consistency. The course also explores industry best practices for creating as-built schedules, managing inherited and multiple project schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing early warning systems such as earned value and cash flow analysis to support proactive project management and informed decision-making.
Learning Objectives:

- · Analyze and document project delays, including impacts on schedules, costs, labour, resources, and critical paths, using effective reporting and visualization tools.
- · Apply industry best practices for project tracking through as-built schedules, progress reporting, schedule comparisons, and lessons learned documentation.
- · Standardize project plans and communications using templates, calendars, Gantt charts, custom fields, and resource management tools.
- · Develop practical project controls and reporting tools, including look-ahead schedules, resource-loading reports, responsibility matrices, and project checklists.
- · Manage complex scheduling challenges through resource optimization, multiple schedule management, productivity analysis, and early warning systems such as earned value and cash flow forecasting.

-Cancellations must be received no later than 10 business days prior to the course date to be eligible for a 75% refund of registration fees.
-No refunds will be issued after this date.
-If you register for the course and do not attend, you are liable for the full registration fee unless you cancel according to the terms stated above.
-If you are unable to attend after registering you may send a substitute up to and including the day of the course. Please provide a name and email address for name tag and records.
-CANS reserves the right to cancel any course and will, in such an event, provide a full refund of registrations fees. Every effort will be made to give registrants a reasonable notice of cancellation.
