Overview:
Building on Construction 101 in Canada, Construction 102 introduces participants to a deeper understanding of advanced procurement, contract administration and industry best practices. The course will discuss emerging trends, technology in use today and tomorrow, their impacts and potential. This course is designed for those who administer, support, and contribute to the construction process and want to understand the full picture of how all the stakeholders, processes, and decisions come together to build an ICI+C project.
Learning Objectives:

- · Advance understanding of procurement principles that apply to bidding and tendering and requests for proposals (RFP’s);
- · Understand traditional contemplations of construction contract terms and conditions used in industrial, commercial, institutional and civil construction in Canada;
- · Advance learning of contract administration processes, including change management, progress billing and project closeout, including Ready-for-Takeover.
