Overview:
Construction, renovation, and maintenance in healthcare facilities present unique risks of infection that can impact patients, staff and visitors. This course focuses on the CSA Z317.13:22 standard and best practices required to manage infection prevention and control throughout healthcare construction.
Participants learn how to identify contamination risks, conduct risk assessments and implement effective infection control strategies before, during and after construction activities. Practical applications—including dust containment, mold remediation and water system risk management—are explored to support safe and compliant healthcare environments.
