Overview:

Construction 101 in Canada provides a comprehensive introduction to the industrial, commercial, institutional, and civil (ICI+C) construction industry. This course explores how construction projects are planned, delivered, and managed from concept through completion. Participants gain practical insight into project teams, delivery methods, procurement, contracts, regulations, and project close-out, enabling them to contribute more effectively to project success.

 

Learning Objectives:

    • ·       Understand the roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes of key construction project stakeholders.

    • ·       Recognize the major phases of a cosntruction project and the delivery methods, contracts, and procurement processes that support them.
    • ·       Develop a foundational understanding of construction regulations, industry best practices, and professional resources available within the sector.
    • ·       Apply construction industry knowledge to common project scenarios, including project delivery, issue resolution, and project close-out.

-Cancellations must be received no later than 10 business days prior to the course date to be eligible for a 75% refund of registration fees.

-If you are unable to attend after registering you may send a substitute up to and including the day of the course. Please provide a name and email address for name tag and records.
-CANS reserves the right to cancel any course and will, in such an event, provide a full refund of registrations fees. Every effort will be made to give registrants a reasonable notice of cancellation.
