Overview: Understanding blueprints is an essential skill for anyone working in construction—whether in project management, estimating, or on-site supervision. Blueprints are the main way technical information is shared between designers, builders, owners, and regulators. This workshop will teach participants to read and understand construction drawings from structural, civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical design areas.
Learning Objectives:
• Identify and interpret key features of structural, civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings
• Recognize how different design disciplines interact within a complete set of construction documents
• Apply blueprint reading skills to real-world scenarios using actual project drawings
• Collaborate with peers to analyze and interpret construction drawings as part of a team
Facilitator: Paul Kelly, Project Management Consultant
