Overview:

More private companies and government organizations are using Requests for Proposals (RFPs) instead of traditional bids. Construction companies often win or lose work based on how well they respond. This course will teach participants how to read and analyze an RFP, build a strong strategy, and write a clear, convincing proposal that shows why your company is the right fit for the job.

Participants will learn how to manage RFIs and meetings, develop presentation skills, and apply what they’ve learned by working on a real RFP case study—writing and presenting a proposal in class.

Learning Objectives:

·       Understand the differences between Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and traditional bids

·       Learn how to analyze an RFP and build a strategy for a winning response

·       Know how to prepare written responses that follow RFP guidelines and meet the Owner’s needs

·       Understand risks, opportunities, and evaluation criteria in the RFP process
