This course looks at how to determine if the correct project delivery method and contract pricing option have been selected. It then looks at the unique legal principles and requirements that apply to competitive construction procurement in Canada.

“A Guide to Construction Procurement for Owners”, looks at how to determine if the correct project delivery method and contract pricing option have been selected for a given construction project as well as the unique legal principles and requirements that apply to competitive construction procurement in Canada. In addition to looking at the procurement of the successful prime contractor, it also examines the legal “dos-and-don’ts” of subcontract procurement.
It also examines the effective use of Supplementary Conditions, including best practices.
